Last week was spent in the El Golea studio in France recording the wonderful Sophie ter Schure’s new album! The lovely Jack Durtnall from London came to join us to add some of his magic. The week went by so fast and some amazing performances were recorded! What a honour to work with such talented artists! In true Upcycled Sounds style we experimented with using an industrial oil-drum which used to contain yoghourt as a resonator for Sophie’s Mbira. The result was fantastic especially when we stuck a couple of microphones in the container. We just had to make an impromptu video:

The album will be coming in early 2014! We’re definitely looking forward to hearing the finished product! In the meantime have a wander through Sophie’s and Jack’s respective websites: – www.sophieterschure.wordpress.com – www.jackdurtnall.com
